Mazda has announced a new limited-edition version of its MX-5 roadster coupe called Sport Graphite, of which only 500 models will be built.

The model is available with two engine options: the 124bhp 1.8-litre or the 158bhp 2.0-litre. Regardless of the engine choice, buyers will get the same equipment upgrades and styling tweaks.

The new edition comes in three unique paint colours, which all have a contrasting dark grey convertible hard top.

Other exterior upgrades include 17-inch alloys and door mirrors in the same colour as the roof, as well as limited edition badging.

The Sport Graphite gets more standard kit than current MX-5s at the same price point, including a 5.8-inch TomTom sat-nav system, Bluetooth and heated leather seats.

Grey stitching that appears on the seats extends to the leather-trimmed steering wheel and handbrake, while other cabin features include gloss grey steering-wheel spokes and dashboard accents. Alloy pedals and stainless steel scuff plates complete the list of interior embellishments.

Like other 2.0-litre MX-5s, the 158bhp version is equipped with a limited-slip differential, cruise control and a stiffer suspension set-up.

The Mazda MX-5 Sport Graphite edition is priced from 20,995 for the 1.8-litre petrol version. The company is offering a range of finance deals for new customers, and even a loyalty bonus for existing MX-5 owners.
