Should I buy one?

With better body control, sharper brakes and slightly improved straight line performance, the JCW is objectively a better sports crossover than the standard Cooper S. And yet, we can't help but feel that the Cooper S will fulfil much of what the JCW is trying to do for less money.

It’s also hard to ignore a notably wide range of hot hatchbacks which are equally as practical as the jacked-up Countryman, and considerably better to drive. Indeed, a Golf R Estate offers a larger boot, four wheel drive, similar levels of cabin quality and sportier handling.
