If you think it looks like a Morgan Aero-8, that's because the LifeCar a prototype fuel cell sport car is based on one.
Developed with the aid of funding from the Department of Trade and Industry, the LifeCar has electric motors in each wheel which are powered by a fuel cell.
The LifeCar also features regenerative braking technology, ultra-capacitors to release energy for bursts of acceleration, and relatively low construction costs.
As a result, it provides the basis for a zero-emissions car that has a range of 200 miles between stops for hydrogen.
The LifeCar is only a prototype at present, but it has been designed in the hope of promoting British fuel cell technology to a global audience.
