New Suzuki Ignis with Dacia Duster

Our verdict

The Duster is an uncomplicated 4x4 that’s big and butch enough to satisfy those after a workhorse for many thousands of pounds less than any other β€˜proper’ SUV. But for all that, it’s outclassed by the Ignis, which is nearly as practical (boot space aside), far better to drive on road and far better equipped. It’s a cheerful car that’s fantastically cheap to own and just as at home in town as it is on a dirt track, and the Duster just can’t match that breadth of abilities.

The Suzuki Ignis is a dinky SUV that’s well priced and neatly packaged. Only its stodgy handling and so-so interior quality let it down.
