An updated Kia Sorento SUV will go on sale in autumn 2012.
The face-lifted model has cosmetic tweaks and 'significant' engine and chassis changes to keep it competitive against rivals such as the forthcoming all-new Hyundai Santa Fe.
There are subtle changes to the Sorento's front end, with a new grille with LED details and headlight lenses. A redesigned bumper includes new vertical foglights.
Kia has made more extensive changes to the rear, where there's a new tailgate, slimmer tail lights and a reshaped bumper.
A range of new alloy wheel designs complete the external makeover.

Inside, there are more soft-touch surfaces, a new centre console with an 7-inch display and a redesigned LED instrument display. There's also a new gear selector for automatic models and a larger optional panoramic sunroof.
Technical details haven't been released, but Kia says the Sorento has a 're-engineered bodyshell' for improved ride and handling, and engine improvements to deliver better fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
The updated Kia Sorento goes on sale in the autumn. No prices or specifications have been announced, but we'd expect a small price rise over the current car, which starts at 23,105.
