The Nissan Qashqai is now available with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is the fastest in the current range. The 161bhp unit is capable of getting the Qashqai from 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds, but emits 134g/km and has an official fuel economy of 48.7mpg.

The new engine is available in 2WD format only and with a manual transmission. Prices start at £23,200 for the N-tec model, and go up to £25,700 for the Tekna trim, complete with glass roof. It is available to order now, with first deliveries taking place in January 2015.

The Suzuki Jimny has been refreshed for 2015, with an updated look and improved equipment levels.

The exterior visual changes are limited to a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels and tinted rear glass, while it gets two new colours.

Inside, it gets a new seat fabric for the two top trim leves, SZ3 and SZ4. It also gets a tyre-pressure monitoring system, a gear-shift indicator and stability control as standard. The updated Jimny is available to order now.
