The VW Up five-door goes on sale later this year, but we're about to drive this exiting new city car and you can read our review here, later today.

Prices for the five-door version of our Car of the Year winner are yet to be revealed, but VW sources have told us that it will cost less than 400 more than the three-door model making the entry-level car likely to cost around 8250.

Five-door versions of the Up have pop-out rear windows rather than wind-down units along with a different side window line to the three-door model, with a straight lower edge. Otherwise, the two versions look identical

The Up five-door line-up is likely to mirror that of the three-door car, with five trims: Take Up, Move Up, High Up, Up Black and Up White.

First deliveries of the Up 5dr are expected in September.

Make sure you come back to whatcar.com for our first WV Up 5dr review.

The VW Up 3dr is on sale now. The closely related Seat Mii and Skoda Citigo go on sale in May and June respectively.
