The estate version of the new Renault Clio could come to the UK after all.
Renault had previously said it wouldn't be converting the car to right-hand drive because its launch would clash with that of the forthcoming Captur SUV. However, the company's new managing director, Ken Ramirez, told What Car? that the decision could now be reversed.
'We're seriously considering bringing [the new estate] to the UK, but if we do it won't be for a while', he said.
Cars with the estate bodystyle which Renault traditionally calls the Sport Tourer are not expected to go on sale in the UK until 2014 at the earliest.
If it does arrive, the estate version will offer buyers a more stylish alternative to cars such as the Seat Ibiza ST and Skoda Fabia Estate.
