In our weekly deals round up, we’ve spotted some tempting deals on four excellent estate cars that are practical and impressive.

We’ve found great savings on the estate versions of the Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and BMW 3 Series.

The Volkswagen Passat estate is a real star in its class, and Drivethedeal.com have a saving of Β£3220 on the 2.0 TDi SE that comes with air-con, digital radio, 6.5-inch touch-screen, Bluetooth, alloys, front and rear parking sensors as well as automatic lights and wipers. The saving brings its price down to Β£22,745 for this outstanding estate.

Another great VW estate, the Golf offers all the practicality of an estate but brings with it the superb driving experience you’d expect from the popular hatchback model. For a saving of Β£3029, head to Drivethedeal.com and pick up a 2.0 TDi 150 GT estate for Β£22,021. This 2.0-litre model is perfect for those who do a lot of motorway miles.

The Ford Focus Estate 1.6 TDCi 115 Titanium is cheap to run and the cheapest to buy from this bunch of estates, with Carfile.net offering Β£18,050 for the best-handling small estate car. True, its interior quality doesn’t match that found in the other estates we’ve picked out this week, but if your budget is tight then the huge Β£3945 saving could make this the car for you.

However, the biggest saving on estates this week can be found on the BMW 3 Series Touring, with a Β£6074 off the list price of the 320i Sport from Coast2coastcars.co.uk. It’s as good as it gets for compact executive estates, and it can be yours for Β£22,831.
