22 June 2018 – somewhere to hang your hat
You know when you’re on a photoshoot and you want to unload stuff out of the boot, but you’re wearing a hat and you want to take it off and hang it up somewhere, but there isn’t anywhere to do it? Oh, just me, then. Well, luckily for me, in the Karoq’s boot there are hooks on either side that offer the perfect place to hang my hat.
Now that I am pretty familiar with the Karoq, I can appreciate how Skoda’s modest tagline of 'simply clever' is entirely appropriate, because the interior is brimming with clever practical ideas like that.
There’s an ice scraper in the fuel filler cap, for instance, and the glovebox is air-cooled. Ok, I’ll admit these features won’t set anyone’s pants on fire in excitement, but when you live with the car day to day you come to really appreciate the incredible thought and ingenuity that have gone into the Karoq’s design and packaging.
