Skoda's new Octavia Greenline is available to order now.

Greenline is Skoda's name for its environmentally friendly models and the Octavia Greenline uses a new common-rail 1.6-litre diesel engine that's more efficient than the standard car's 1.9-litre diesel unit.

CO2 emissions for the Greenline are 114g/km, whereas the 1.9 TDI emits 130g/km. Average fuel consumption is 64.2mpg, compared with 57.6mpg for the 1.9 TDI.

The Octavia Greenline is priced at Β£16,155.

Extended scrappage deals
Skoda has also launched extended scrappage offers on selected Octavia models.

As well as the standard Β£2000 scrappage discount, Skoda has announced a further Β£1000 off 1.6 MPI S and SE models, Β£1200 off 1.8 TSI models and Β£1500 off all 1.9 TDI, 2.0 TDI and vRS 2.0 TDI CR models.

Skoda Product Marketing Manager Chris Horrell, said: 'The scrappage scheme has been a great success for Skoda, so much so that we've extended our offers across the brand to cope with demand.

'We've taken over 2000 orders through the scheme and are confident that figure will rise further as more drivers seek to take advantage of the extended offer.'
