Suzuki Vitara and Citroen C4 Cactus

Our verdict

It’s a close-run thing, but the Suzuki Vitara is worth the small extra it’ll cost you to own. It’s better equipped, better to drive and its bigger, more practical interior also counts in its favour.

The Citroen C4 Cactus certainly has the better engine and its interior, while not quite as user-friendly, is more stylish and that bit more upmarket. However, it’s merely average to drive and its driving position won’t suit everyone.
