First drive: the FX
The FX is Infinitis answer to BMWs X5 or X6. Imposing is the best way to describe the cars looks: from the long, but beefy, bonnet through to the more pert derriere.
The FX shares much of its underpinnings with the rest of the Infiniti range (and the forthcoming Nissan 370Z sports car). It also shares the smaller of its two engine options with its siblings (and the 370Z).
It is nice to drive, too. The 5.0-litre V8 provides masses of grunt you can almost hear the planet wince as you floor the throttle while its pleasantly refined at a cruise. And despite the cars size, it handles okay, too.
The 3.7-litre is less flamboyant, but it still has a lovely soundtrack if you push it - and itll save you plenty of money to buy and run.
It also comes with more gadgets than youll get in an equivalent BMW, plus the nicest paint finish weve ever seen something called Scratch Guard that will even repair minor scratches itself.
Inside its suitably lavish and theres plenty of room - apart from in the boot, it has to be said.
