There's no shortage of cars that can average more than 70 miles per gallon these days, but are there any that we'd actually recommend you buy?

There certainly are, and our top 10 will help you find the cars that not only have ultra-low running costs, but are good to drive, pleasant to sit in and prove you don't have to sacrifice quality for economy.
