Superminis continue to be Britain's favourite new car according to the latest registration figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Which car manufacturers are doing the best and worst overall, however? Which has sold just one car in six months, and which has seen sales rocket by an incredible 119.76%.
Top 10 sales gains
Brands with low volumes will show bigger swings in percentage improvement, but it's larger volume brands like Renault, Hyundai and Kia that lead the charge in the most improved sales so far this year.
Remember that these rises will probably never be repeated because the market was in a trough in the first six months of this year. The scrappage incentive gave sales a shot in the arm, so the comparisons are startling.

10 biggest slumps in sale
The smaller volume are represented more in this league table at the depths of sales, but the figures are pretty gloomy for Suzuki. It's even worse for Hummer, however, it sold just one car.
We can understand why Saab is struggling so much, given the uncertainty over its ownership that continued for so long. The Daimlers in the list are hearses and limos.
