Toyota interior quality will improve dramatically in coming years, as a result of a push to develop new materials that are both durable and high-quality.

Toyota Europe boss Didier leroy revealed the move at the recent Paris motor show, saying: β€˜The DNA of Toyota demands that if you park a car in the heat of summer and leave it for two months, it must still be in perfect condition when you return. That must never change.

β€˜But what we’ve now found is ways to develop materials that give a fantastic sense of sensory quality without compromising durability. If we skimped on durability we’d be killed - but technology today allows us to develop materials that can deliver both.’
