Could this be the coupe version of the Porsche Panamera? Our computer-generated image shows what a rumoured two-door version of the four-door Panamera could look like.
If you find the idea of a two-door version of the car almost as confusing as the prospect of a four-door 911, think of a Panamera coupe as a fast four-seater GT rather than a two-plus-two sports car.
The coupe could then be seen as a natural successor to the Porsche 928, which was built by the company up to the mid 1990s.

A two-door GT seems to make sense, but leaked patent applications from Porsche suggest it is considering an outlandish four-door convertible version of the car. Our second computer-image shows what that car could look like. Click the link on the right to see a larger version.
The patent application shows how Porsche is planning a bulkhead behind the front two seats to ensure the long body of the car retains as much rigidity as possible once the roof is removed.
