Last, but certainly not least, it's something for the gamers.

Many racing games are too complicated to be easily accessible to casual players, so Forza 4s pick-up-and-play style is a refreshing trait.

Add to that a stunning collection of modern and classic cars, tracks from around the world, and you have a game that will appeal to gamers of all ages and abilities.
F1 2011
PS3, Xbox 360, PC

You can now play against a friend on the same screen, and its even more staggeringly realistic than before. However, it's just as hard as it ever was, meaning this is one for dedicated gamers only casual players could soon lose interest when they repeatedly qualify at the back of the grid. Stick with it, though just use real F1 team HRT as inspiration.
Dirt 3
PS3, Xbox 360, PC
Cost: 49.99rrp

If you want to get away from tracks made from virtual-Tarmac, then Dirt 3 is well worth a look with its seemingly never-ending variety of stages. You'll race and rally on ice, dirt and Tarmac along with stunt driving in the shadow of Londons iconic Battersea Power Station.
