The Mercedes-Benz C-Class certainly looks the part. On the outside it reminds you of a baby S-Class - which is no bad thing - while on the inside you'll find a stylish and well made dashboard and room for four six-footers.
Its running and leasing costs are similar to those of its main rivals and it beats them on the safety front with all models getting automatic emergency braking as standard.
However, in a class that includes the impressive BMW 3 Series and Audi A3 Saloon, that isn't enough. Does the Mercedes have what it takes to compete with its rivals on the road?
