Competition in the executive saloon market is tough, but the latest Mercedes E-Class makes a very compelling case for itself. It offers a technology-laden and luxurious interior, a comfortable ride and comes loaded with standard equipment.
Even in the face of stiff competition from the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series - the latter having been crowned as our Executive Car of the Year at the most recent What Car? Awards - the E-Class is a good choice for both company car and private buyers.
In particular, we've been impressed with this new car's interior, which has much more in common with the more luxurious S-Class than it does with the junior executive C-Class. We also like its big boot - which is bigger than both its main rivals, in fact - and good standard safety equipment.
So what's new on this latest E-Class, which version should you go for and, crucially, should you buy one? Watch our video review below to find out.
