The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV bucks the trend of many electric plug-in cars, which tend to be stand-alone models such as the Nissan Leaf or BMW i3.

Instead, the Outlander is a traditional looking four-wheel-drive, and almost identical to the standard diesel-powered version. It also costs the same as the diesel version, too.

If you spend your time navigating the urban sprawl, then the 30-mile all-electric range could prove very useful, as might the roomy cabin, which has the added versatility of seven seats.

If you want to know the full ins-and-outs of Mitsubishi’s SUV with apparent green credentials, why not watch our full video review and get the full story.
