Pick-up trucks are some of the most practical vehicles on sale today. They're commercial vehicles that are designed to work for a living, and as such need to be reliable, rugged and affordable.
Pick-up trucks can also make sense for private buyers, especially if you regularly need to travel off road, need to carry large loads and you've already exhausted the plentiful supply of large SUVs on sale.
To kick off our new pick-up trucks reviews section, we've gathered together some of the market's best-known models. They include the Volkswagen Amarok and Toyota Hilux - two of the best known names in the world of pick-up trucks, and both with a well-earned reputation for being tough as nails.
We've also got the Ssangyong Korando Sports. For just £14,295 (or £17,337 if you're a private buyer) it's the cheapest pick-up truck around, but can it match up to the far more established names in this class?
Watch our video below as we introduce some of our pick-up truck contenders, and keep a close eye on whatcar.com over the coming weeks for our new pick-up truck reviews section.
