Should I buy a Volkswagen T-Roc?

Conclusions are notoriously hard to draw from a drive in a prototype on an unfamiliar, loose surfaced road, but on this evidence it’s clear the Volkswagen T-Roc will likely deserve a place on buyer’s shortlists based on its dynamic qualities and interior space.

Of course, that leaves many facets that we have yet to assess, most notably the price and the ownership costs compared with the opposition, but also the reality of Volkswagen’s push to make the T-Roc appeal to more emotion-led buyers.

We expect the final production car to be revealed this summer, ahead of sales in the autumn. Only then will we have a full picture of whether to recommend the T-Roc.
