Historic racing cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed has become the UK’s biggest annual car extravaganza, showcasing new models and a host of classic and historic vehicles.

This year’s theme is β€˜Peaks of Performance – Motorsport’s Game-Changers’, so you can expect a huge amount of high-octane, high speed fun.

For the chance to experience it, we’re giving away 15 free pairs of tickets to the first day of this year’s show on Thursday 29 June. Click here and answer one simple question for your chance to win.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, and we’ve been told that more than 70 of this brand’s iconic models will be on show. Other highlights of the show are set to include the new McLaren 570S Spider, the Honda Civic Type R, the first electric Mini model, the Countryman Cooper S E All4, and Ford’s outlandishly styled GT road car.

As well as watching everything from classic race cars to the latest supercars tackle the snaking Goodwood hillclimb, festival goers can visit Future Lab, an exhibition that includes Robocar, the world’s first driverless electric racing car, along with a range of flying cars and a supersonic aeroplane.

Plenty of Formula 1 heroes will be there too, including reigning champion Nico Rosberg in his Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid and current Mercedes-AMG driver Valtteri Bottas. Renault Sport is bringing its British race driver Jolyon Palmer and test driver Sergey Sirotkin, while former Williams world champions Alan Jones and Damon Hill will also be present.
