Used Nissan Juke 2019-2025 reliability
Category: Small SUV
This second-generation Nissan Juke is an affordable, smart and practical small SUV, but a very poor reliability record lets it down.

What should I look for in a used Nissan Juke hatchback?
This is a small SUV that will have most likely been used by families, so check for any wear and tear on the seat trims and plastics. Check the alloy wheels for damage, and make sure the electrics all work as they should.

What are the most common problems with a used Nissan Juke hatchback?
As of writing, there have been three recalls for the Juke so far. Check with your local Nissan dealer that all recalls have been done.
Reason for recall: The rear seat back may not be securely latched when returned to the upright position after folding.
Reason for recall: The drivers’ bag may tear during inflation.
Reason for recall: Fault with HEVC (Hybrid Electric Vehicle Control) software
Check with your local dealer that all remedial work has been carried out.

Is a used Nissan Juke hatchback reliable?
Reliability is not a strong point. This version of the Nissan Juke finished last, 38th out of 38 cars, in the small SUV class in our most recent reliability survey. It scored just 55.2%, which is rather disturbing.
Nissan, as a brand, came 29th out of 30 manufacturers with an overall score of 89.9%. Only MG came lower.
The Juke comes with a three-year/60,000-mile warranty as standard from new, although this can be extended at an extra cost. That's pretty average, and beaten by Renault and Hyundai with their five-year warranties, and Kia's cover, which stretches to seven years.
