Review

The Micra has an attractive interior, good safety equipment and a decent petrol engine, but in other areas, particularly rear seat space and handling, it trails its rivals.

get the best price

Only the range-topping Tekna trim gets a rear-view camera, parking sensors, keyless start and a third rear head restraint as standard. But then it should be well equipped, because it costs silly money.,

If you want even more zip, this is a more powerful 115bhp version of the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine. It feels sharper in its throttle response, and pulls better from low revs, offering easier motorway performance. It also bring a firmer, lower suspension set up and sharper steering. However, the differences are only slight, plus it’s more expensive to buy and run, so we’d stick with the 99bhp unit.
