Category: Small car
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Micra has an attractive interior, good safety equipment and a decent petrol engine, but in other areas, particularly rear seat space and handling, it trails its rivals.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentOnly the range-topping Tekna trim gets a rear-view camera, parking sensors, keyless start and a third rear head restraint as standard. But then it should be well equipped, because it costs silly money.,
The engine
See full engine specsWell worth the premium over the entry-level unit. It zips the Micra along quite happily, giving you the performance you need not only for town driving but also for relatively comfortable motorway use. And thanks to a solid swell of shove provided from low to midway up the rev range, you don’t have to rev it as hard as the entry-level engine, either. This is also the only engine available with an automatic gearbox, but bear in mind that it’s more than two seconds slower from 0-62mph than the same engine with a manual.
