Review

Although the Nissan Qashqai is no longer our favourite family SUV, it remains a sound proposition. If you choose wisely it's one of the more comfortable cars in the class, and the 1.3 DIG-T 140 petrol engine also impresses. The Seat Ateca and Skoda Karoq are roomier and better to drive, though.

Trim: Tekna+

Tekna+ comes with luxurious quilted nappa leather seats, memory recall for the driver's seat and power adjustment for the passenger's seat, but it makes the Qashqai extremely expensive, placing it against premium rivals with which it can’t realistically compete.

Engine: 1.3 DiG-T 160

You’ll need to got for the DiG-T 160 if you want a petrol engine and need an automatic gearbox. Otherwise, it makes little sense. Save yourself some cash and go for the DIG-T 140.
