AcentaIf you’re not bothered about the big 7.0in colour touchscreen and navigation system on higher-grade versions, mid-spec Acenta is a good choice. It adds a lot of useful kit including dual-zone climate control, driver’s lumbar adjustment and power-folding door mirrors. You also get panoramic sunroof, but this limits rear head room so do check before you buy.
Engine:
2.0 dCiIf you’re going to be towing often or regularly have all seven seats filled, this engine will certainly give you more low-end pulling power, but it’s not that much faster than the 1.6 dCi and is less efficient. If you don’t plan on filling the X-Trail to the brim with people and luggage, you probably won’t feel the benefit.
