Not only does the Peugeot 2008 look the part (both inside and out), it's well equipped and has a range of punchy, efficient petrol engines. That said, the Ford Puma and Skoda Kamiq are better all-rounders, as is the Audi Q2 if you want a premium badge.get the best price

Surprisingly well equipped for an entry-level trim, with climate control and 16in alloys fitted as standard. We'd still recommend upgrading to Allure trim if you can, though.

The e-2008's electric motor delivers very respectable acceleration, although not the real shove in your back you get from some electric rivals, such the e-Niro.
