Review

Not only does the Peugeot 2008 look the part (both inside and out), it's well equipped and has a range of punchy, efficient petrol engines. That said, the Ford Puma and Skoda Kamiq are better all-rounders, as is the Audi Q2 if you want a premium badge.

This range-topping trim add yet more desirables, including adaptive cruise control and keyless entry. It's too pricey to recommend, though.

The e-2008's electric motor delivers very respectable acceleration, although not the real shove in your back you get from some electric rivals, such the e-Niro.
