The model
Read full reviewStylish, practical and good to drive, the well-equipped Peugeot 3008 is one of the best family SUVs you can buy. Go for the entry-level 1.2 PureTech engine unless you're a company car driver; the Hybrid4 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model will offer significantly lower monthly BIK payments. There are better PHEV SUVs out there, though, and the Skoda Karoq is an even more practical alternative to regular models.

The engine
See full engine specsThis most potent of 3008s is a four-wheel drive plug-in that combines rapid performance with low CO2 emissions. It’s too expensive to recommend to private buyers, but thanks to its impressive pure electric range, it falls into a low benefit-in-kind tax bracket, making it worth considering if you’re on the lookout for a company car.
