Our overall rating:
The UK may have gone crazy for SUVs, but the humble estate is still here and offers a serious dose of space and practicality. In the case of the Peugeot 308 SW, it takes the 308 hatchback and stretches its body to improve boot space and add some clever touches that’ll help hauling loads.
The huge choice of petrol and diesel engines, not to mention the well-equipped trims, remains the same as the hatchback’s, but naturally the cars the 308 SW has to beat are different; namely, the estate versions of the Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Golf and Vauxhall Astra.
Read on over the next few pages to get our in-depth impressions of the 308 SW, along with our recommendations for which of the many trim levels and engines you should choose.
