Review

The Peugeot 308 offers a lot of what family car buyers are looking for, including low running costs, a decent driving style and a comfortable interior. Rivals offer more space and keener handling, though.

Splash out on GT Premium for fully electric massaging front seats, uprated Focal sound system and a 360-degree camera system.

This is the most powerful plug-in hybrid. Although it's swifter, it doesn't have a longer range, so the regular 178bhp version is better value overall.
