Adds a sportier look compared with the standard Macan, but the main reason for buying this over the standard version is the better-performing 3.0-litre engine.
S models get a 3.0-litre V6 with a hearty 349bhp and a much more tuneful voice than the base 2.0-litre. With a 0-62mph time of 5.1sec with the optional Sport Chrono package, performance is more than strong enough unless you're a particularly hardened speed demon. As a bonus, real world economy doesn't seem too much worse than the 2.0-litre if you're cruising.
