Expression
The entry-level trim brings most of the equipment basics, with the possible exception of air-conditioning. You get USB and Bluetooth connectivity, a DAB radio, cruise control and electrically operated front windows. It’s available only with the older 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, though, which isn’t great.,
Dynamique S Nav
The addition of the letter ’S’ in Dynamique S Nav trim means larger 17in alloy wheels, a central armrest, electric rear windows, climate control instead of mere air-conditioning, LED headlights and rear parking sensors. These are all reasonably useful features, but the price is rising all the time, so we’d only opt for this trim level if you absolutely must have its additional features.,
Dynamique Nav
Dynamique Nav is available with all of the Clio’s best engine options and brings a strong line-up of standard equipment for a reasonable price. It gets an upgraded stereo, including a 7.0in touchscreen and satellite-navigation, keyless entry, a leather steering wheel and plusher materials inside.,
Play
If you can’t quite stretch to our preferred trim, Dynamique Nav, then Play still looks a reasonable buy. Over Expression it adds air-conditioning, 16in alloy wheels and front foglights.,
