Review

The Renault Zoe is great value, decent to drive and has a long range between charges,. We reckon the range-topping R135 GT Line is the pick of the range, although the R110 Iconic is well worth a look – especially if you mostly drive in town. If you can deal with a little less range, though, the Peugeot e-208 is better overall

Trim: Iconic

Iconic trim is available with either the R110 or the more powerful R135 motor. As well as adding a built-in sat nav, there’s also wireless smartphone charging, climate control and rear parking sensors. You also get 100% recycled seat upholstery and fabric inserts on the dashboard. Safety systems include lane keeping assistance and traffic sign recognition although, disappointingly, you don't get automatic emergency braking.

Engine: 80KW i

This is the less powerful of two electric motor options. Around town, acceleration is perfectly nippy, but the more powerful R135 will get you up to motorway speeds quite a bit quicker. We reckon it's worth the extra.
