The Renault Zoe is great value, decent to drive and has a long range between charges,. We reckon the range-topping R135 GT Line is the pick of the range, although the R110 Iconic is well worth a look – especially if you mostly drive in town. If you can deal with a little less range, though, the Peugeot e-208 is better overallget the best price
Iconic trim is available with either the R110 or the more powerful R135 motor. As well as adding a built-in sat nav, there’s also wireless smartphone charging, climate control and rear parking sensors. You also get 100% recycled seat upholstery and fabric inserts on the dashboard. Safety systems include lane keeping assistance and traffic sign recognition although, disappointingly, you don't get automatic emergency braking.

This is the less powerful of two electric motor options. Around town, acceleration is perfectly nippy, but the more powerful R135 will get you up to motorway speeds quite a bit quicker. We reckon it's worth the extra.
