The Seat Arona remains a great choice in the small SUV category, and it undercuts most of its rivals on price. It'll prove spacious enough inside for most people and is one of the more enjoyable cars in this class to drive. Overall, we prefer the nimbler Ford Puma and more spacious Skoda Kamiq, but that shouldn't stop the Arona featuring high up on your shopping list.

At the top of the range sits the 148bhp 1.5 TSI Evo 150. Unsurprisingly, its extra power helps deliver much quicker acceleration than either of the 1.0-litre units, but it pushes the Arona's price into the territory of bigger, more grown-up cars, such as the Volkswagen T-Roc.
