Review

The Arona remains a great choice in the small SUV class, and one that undercuts many of its rivals on price. It'll prove spacious enough inside for most people and is one of the most enjoyable cars in this class to drive, too. The Ford Puma is even better to drive, though, and the Skoda Kamiq is roomier and more comfortable.

Trim: SE Technology Lux

On top of SE Technology trim, SE Technology Lux adds a Beats Audio stereo with subwoofer, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and start, heated seats and heated washer nozzles.

Engine: 1.6 TDI

This 94bhp diesel doesn’t feel as responsive and sprightly as the petrol engines – indeed, it’s the slowest engine in the line-up – but it’s fine around town and builds speed steadily up to the motorway limit when required.
