This is the only trim offered with the more powerful 74bhp engine that we’d recommend if you regularly venture onto the motorway. It gets air-conditioning, heated front seats, 15in alloy wheels and rear parking sensors as standard, but we reckon cheaper SE trim makes more sense for the majority of buyers.\n\n,

The more eager 74bhp 1.0-litre engine is a better choice if you regularly drive on fast A-roads and motorways. However, it pushes the price up a fair bit (partly because it comes only in high-end SE L trim), which takes away some of the Citigo’s bargain appeal. Like the lower-powered ‘60’ version, this engine is available with either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
