Review
The Skoda Citigo is one of the best city cars around; it’s cheaper to buy than a VW Up and just as brilliant to drive, with a ride quality that's far above its budget price. On the right trim, there's plenty of equipment for the everyday city driver, while the cleverly packaged boot space makes it a surprisingly practical option.
get the best priceTrim:
SEThis is our favourite trim because it's the easiest way to get air-conditioning, electric front windows and remote central locking. You also get split-folding rear seats and a height-adjustable driver’s seat, but a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a DAB radio cost extra.
Engine:
1.0 MPIThe lower-powered of the two 1.0-litre petrol engines is adequate if you do most of your driving around town and, crucially, keeps the price to a minimum. However, it can feel underpowered on faster roads. It’s available with either a manual or automatic gearbox; avoid the auto if possible, though, because its gearchanges are slow and jerky.
