Review

The Citigo is one of the cheapest electric cars currently available, undercutting even the Seat Mii Electric. Some may see its range as a little short, but it should be more than adequate for city life, while longer journeys won’t prove too stressful. Just bear in mind that, if your budget can be stretched a little, some rivals are more practical inside and will go farther on a full charge.

Trim: SE

This is our favourite trim because it's the easiest way to get air-conditioning, electric front windows and remote central locking. You also get split-folding rear seats and a height-adjustable driver’s seat, but a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a DAB radio cost extra.

Engine: 61kW
