Our favourite version of the Fabia Estate. It comes with alloy wheels, air-con, an improved stereo, a trip computer, parking sensors and a speed limiter. Other upgrades, including wheel-mounted audio control and more attractive trims, help make it feel much more upmarket, too.
The entry-level three-cylinder petrol will likely leave you wanting, because it doesn’t offer much pulling power. On motorways or with the car laden with luggage and passengers, it could prove a bit of a chore. It is smooth and fairly quiet, though.
