Review

Despite being shorter and narrower than a Ford Focus, the Fabia Estate’s boot can hold more stuff than you can get in a Volvo XC60 SUV, while its 1.0 TSI 95 engine ensures running costs are kept to a minimum. So if you’re looking for an affordable small estate, then the Fabia should be at the top of your list – it really is all the car you’d ever need.

In terms of equipment, our favourite SE trim gets roof rails, 16in alloys, air-con, rear parking sensors and a 6.5in infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so it’s a pleasure to live with as well as a pleasure to drive.

The 1.0 TSI 95 is so good that it renders the more powerful 110 version redundant. There's plenty of pull from low revs and 0-60mph takes around 10 seconds.
