The model
Read full reviewThe Skoda Karoq is a top-drawer family SUV with clever seating options, a big boot and plenty of space inside for passengers. It’s also a pleasure to drive, thanks to its comfortable ride (as long as you avoid the 19in alloy wheels) and great visibility – and it has a well made interior. If you’re after something sportier then have a look at the Seat Ateca, but the Karoq is the best all-round family SUV in its price bracket.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentSE L trim gets you a great blend of useful equipment as well as some luxuries. The big news is the addition of VarioFlex seats, which add a large dose of extra versatility. You also get Alcantara upholstery, heated front seats, an 8.0in touchscreen with sat-nav, keyless entry and go, front parking sensors, LED headlights and 18in alloy wheels. It’s our favourite trim level.
The engine
See full engine specsKicking off the range is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that’s surprisingly gutsy. We’d upgrade to the 1.5 TSI 150, though. Only available with a manual gearbox.
