Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Karoq is a top-drawer family SUV with clever seating options, a big boot and plenty of space inside for passengers. It’s also a pleasure to drive, thanks to its comfortable ride and great visibility – and it has a well made interior. However, Skoda is not planning to produce a hybrid Karoq, so if you want a family SUV with a low company car tax rate, we’d recommend you take a look at the Kia Sportage.
The trim
See full equipmentSE L comes with some useful extras, including VarioFlex rear seats, keyless entry and start, drive mode select, all-round parking sensors and a rear-view camera. It’s our favourite version of the Karoq.
The engine
See full engine specsDespite having just 114bhp, this 2.0 diesel is surprisingly gutsy from low revs, although it does take quite a while to get up to motorway speeds.
