The Skoda Superb Estate is pretty comfortable, well equipped, great value for money and one of the roomiest modes of transport going. If you can forego a premium German or Sweedish badge, it's a spankingly good all-round estate car.get the best price
Even the entry-level S model has a few goodies: 16in alloy wheels, air-conditioning, a leather-trimmed gearlever and steering wheel, an 8.0in infotainment system (with a DAB radio and Bluetooth) and keyless start. Ideally, we'd suggest looking at SE or SE Technology if your budget fits.
Engine: 1.6 TDI CR
This engine comes only with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox but we'd try and avoid it. Performance is adequate at 11.3sec from 0-62mph but the 1.5 TSI 150 petrol is much quicker and smoother, while, if it's fuel economy you are after, the 2.0 TDI 150 is more efficient. Both those engines will cost company car drivers less in tax, too, because the 1.6 TDI isn't that efficient.
