The Skoda Superb Estate is pretty comfortable, well equipped, great value for money and one of the roomiest modes of transport going. If you can forego a premium German or Sweedish badge, it's a spankingly good all-round estate car.get the best price
Trim: SE Technology
SE Technology is our pick of the range because this builds on SE trim by adding leather upholstery, electrically adjustable/ heated front seats, privacy glass and in-built sat-nav. It's particularly intended for company car buyers, but private buyers should be able to order one by talking to their Skoda retailer or checking out New Car Buyer on What Car?.
Engine: 1.6 TDI CR
This engine comes only with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox but we'd try and avoid it. Performance is adequate at 11.3sec from 0-62mph but the 1.5 TSI 150 petrol is much quicker and smoother, while, if it's fuel economy you are after, the 2.0 TDI 150 is more efficient. Both those engines will cost company car drivers less in tax, too, because the 1.6 TDI isn't that efficient.
