Review

The Suzuki Swift majors on value for money; if you want a city runabout with decent interior space and a perky engine, it is far from a bad choice. However, it can’t match key rivals for interior quality or ride quality, and safety needs to be improved.

Trim: SZ-T

SZ-T gets standard smartphone link including a 7.0in touchscreen, a rear view camera, front foglights and alloy wheels. You also get the more powerful Boosterjet engine.,

Engine: 1.2 SHVS

The entry-level engine is also one of the most efficient, matching the more expensive Boosterjet SHVS for economy and emitting just 1g/km of carbon more. It won’t be the quickest thing around but should prove peppy enough for urban environments. It’s also available with four-wheel drive on top-spec SZ5 trim.
