Mars bars. Parking spaces. Life savings. In today’s world, so many things seem to be getting smaller. Cars, though, seem to be swelling, and the Suzuki Swift is a notable exception. It was small from the beginning and this latest version makes a lot of sense in our increasingly congested cities, with their evil width restrictors and parking bays that seem to get smaller and smaller.
While rivals have grown over the years, the Swift retains compact dimensions. It sits alongside other small-car offerings from Suzuki, such as the Celerio city car, funky Jimny SUV and chunkier Ignis SUV. It trades on value for money, undercutting comparable alternatives such as Ford Fiesta and VW Polo and being closer in price to the Skoda Fabia.
